Historic district: Taking down a tree 12 inches or wider in a yard that faces the street needs a replanting plan and a timeline for replanting. If there are already other trees in that yard, replanting may not be needed. It's worth a call to the city before the job goes on the calendar.
Brush pickup: The city picks up brush once a month: north of the railroad tracks from the 1st to the 14th, south from the 15th on. Branches can be up to 8 feet long and 75 pounds each, and trunks and stumps aren't taken.
